In honor of my new favorite show (involving a cheerleader and some guy named Hiro trying to save the world or something) we are releasing a number of “Hero” oriented PDF’s in our Dept. 7 Advanced Class Update line! Why wait for a rule book that may never come out? With these Advanced Classes you can use your special abilities to liven up any D20 Modern Campaign.
Just because your favorite Comic Book Archer is dead doesn’t mean you can’t bring that type of Hero in you D20 Modern Game! This PDF is crammed full of feats, gear and attitude for the Modern Master of Archery:
The Perfect Archer.

A snipers speed and precision, an assassin’s dispassionate eye, and an action movie star’s charisma and bravado. The Perfect Archer has it all. He’s got the strength to draw back an 80-pound test bowstring and drive an arrow through a ½ inch of steel, or stop a speeding car by putting a titanium arrow into its engine block.
He’s got the accuracy to take out a gunslinger by blasting the pistol out of his hands with a well placed arrow, and the skill to put an arrow through a criminals throat without even ruffling the hair of the hostage. And the Perfect Archer is never shy about sharing his opinions, accomplishments or just how damn good he is with a bow and arrow.
This Advanced Class allows you to play a new breed of Hero! Included in this PDF are a host of new Feats and abilities including Champion’s Pull, Pincushion, Beloved Bow, Fullisade and more. Also included are rules for specialty arrows and various modern bows and accessories for the modern master of archery.

The Gravity Slinger

The rapist’s bones snapped like twigs. The burning airliner hung suspended in mid air, just inches from the roiling ocean waves. The overturned SUV floated free of your trapped kindergartener. Gravity Slingers may be hero or villain, space warping terrorist or highly trained government agent, or might hail from any country on the planet; but all Gravity Slingers have one thing in common. They’re alive now because their spectacular powers emerged at the last possible second and saved them when they should have died.
Some Gravity Slingers turn to science to understand their instinctive command over the universe’s fundamental forces. Occasionally, genius physicists and mathematicians’ achieve such a profound understanding of their disciplines they spontaneously develop the ability to warp space and gravity. These gravity savants often act as mentors for young Gravity Slingers, helping the powerful rouge psions master their gifts. Other Gravity Slingers fear their abilities, remembering the devastation and death the first manifestation of their powers caused, dampening down their abilities with drugs, discipline and even psi-controlling cybernetics. Gravity Slingers can be deadly assassins, using their telekinetic gifts to pinch off blood vessels in a target’s brain, while others are excellent soldiers and super-agents, using their abilities to keep their comrades alive.
This Advanced Class allows you to play a new breed of Hero! Included in this PDF are a host of new abilities including Combat Gravikinesis, Slingshot Flight, Kinetic Shroud and more!

Today Skortched urf’ Studios has released the latest of its Dept. 7 Advanced Class Updates: The Mind Reaper.
Focus your will; call your glimmering psi-weapon into existence with a single murderous thought. You are the ultimate assassin, a warrior who can imagine the only weapon he will ever need. You can pass undetected through a President’s security cordon and disregard a billionaire’s metal detectors, and even though your hands are empty, you are never, ever unarmed.
Mind Reapers are highly motivated, expertly trained mentalist, who focus their natural psionic talents towards stealth and melee combat. Mind Reapers are highly sought after corporate operatives and black ops specialists. Many Mind Reapers were the product of Cold War era cybernetics implantation and breeding experiments designed to unlock human potential. Others are products of secretive martial arts dojos, using secrets handed down from master to student for generations. Modern Mind Reapers hail from across the world, as former government operatives share their secrets with developing nations, wealthy private corporations and extremist groups across the globe. The world gets more dangerous every day, thanks to the presence of these undetectable telepathic assassins.

Adventuring can be dangerous. That’s why every treasure-hunter needs the proper equipment. With the introduction of our “Adventurer Essentials” line we will examine the items that every adventurer needs to ensure he makes it back alive for the next adventure. Time-tested, and proven by countless dungeon crawles and wilderness expeditions, these are the essentials you’ll need to survive the dangers ahead. The first piece of equipment covered in the “Adventurer Essentials” line is Holy Water. In this PDF we take a brief look at the history of Holy Water and its creation. We also examine several variations of Holy Water formulated to combat specific threats. Included in this PDF are eight variant Holy Waters, two potent magic items and more! Don’t leave for your next adventure without the essentials.

Released this week is Sketchbook Page #7. The illustration is of a three-legged tank or Mecha’ capable of either rolling or walking as the terrain requires. The tank also sports and under-slung main gun as well as two manipulator arms, giving this piece of military harware a decidedly dangerous look! This image will work great in a near-future or Sci-Fi setting. Included in this Sketchbook Page from Skortched urf’ Studios is a line art as well as a colored version. Use of this artwork must credit the artist, Anthony Cournoyer.
