Blog Update for 11/07/2007

November 7th, 2007

I got an email from Chris field yesterday.  He didn’t write the Manhunter Advanced Class, but his name appears on the cover I put up yesterday.  It was actually written by David Caffee.  I just did several covers at once, and have not laid out the actual Manhunter class yet so I will fix the cover and attribute correct authorship.

I laid out the AE Lantern PDF last night.  So that is almost done; I still need to create the Flash Flip Book and record the Publisher Audio Commentary.  I’ll also be doing lots of work tonight when I get home from work.  I’ll have the house to myself so I can get some work done un-interupted.

I was also casting blocks from the Hirst Molds last night in preperation for our game this weekend.  It’s simple to mix up a batch of plaster, pour the molds and go back to doing something else while they dry.  I filled up two cookie sheets worth and let them dry in the oven overnight so they will be ready for glue and paint.  We will get plenty of use out of them during our Star Wars RPG and then when we do the Warhammer 40K RPG we will still have them.  (I’m looking forward to the 40K RPG!)

After work yesterday I went to the local Elementary school to vote.  Did my civic duty and got an “I Voted” sticker that I slapped on my Master Chief Helmet from the legendary edition of Halo 3 that’s still sitting on top of my TV.

Was out sick from work yesterday.  I actually managed to get some work done on several PDF’s.  (Though not as much as I wanted.)

This weekend we are playing the Star Wars RPG again.  This game will be great because we will have two people in town who normally not able to play with us.  (Including my twin brother!)

Happy day-after-Haloween!  I didn’t do much of anything last night.  I went to Blockbuster to return a couple of movies and came home with Planet Terror by Robert Rodriguez and Kings of South Beach.  Planet Terror was great; I am a fan of zombie movies and Robert Rodriguez so it was a double-win.  Kings of South Beach was awful!  I was watching this and noting the cheezy soundtrack, the lame cinematography and wondering what was so “off” about the movie.  Then I realized; it wasn’t a movie!  I was a TV movie.  And here I found it at Blockbuster as a new release as a special “Unrated” edition thinking it was gonna be like Shooter but with some South Beach chica’s.  (It wasn’t; only one shootout and zero boobies in the whole flick.  If your into that kind of thing.)  ;-) I should have gotten the Soprano’s latest season instead, but I was in the mood for an action flick; which this one most certainly was not.  Planet Terror was great, so I guess it balanced out.

Planning our releases for the month; we have lots of stuff on deck.  Two new Adventurer Essentials, a couple of Department 7 Advanced Class Updates, hopefully the long-awaited Black Tokyo Otherverse release and a couple of other projects.

My daughter is having her 13th birthday on Friday.  (Wow, does that make me feel OLD!)  The festivities include a sleepover, so I did some cleaning of the apartment last night, which will continue through tonight to get the place ready for her friends to come over.

Chris Field and I have been working on the Pandora Project, and he sent me some stuff he had written up based on our emails and conversations; great stuff!  Not all of it is exactly what I had in mind, but that is more of a good thing than a bad thing.  I had the basic idea, and working with Chris has forced me to flesh out a few areas that I hadn’t really thought about.  I am very excited about the project.  (So is Chris.)
